TimberTech showed the new additions to their XLM cellular PVC decking lineup at the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Orlando, FL. New for the 2011 season are two new variegated colors.
The first is Harbor Stone, which is a darker version of the River Rock gray. This product has been available through distribution since late Q4 2010. It is anticipated to do well in the Northeast and New England regions of the U.S. market.
The second new color is Walnut Grove, and should be available by mid- 2011in distribution. This will bring the XLM product line up to four variegated and three solid colors, all available in grooved and non-grooved profiles.
According to TimberTech, XLM decking is stain, scratch, and mildew resistant and includes a solid cap surface to reinforce structural integrity. The cellular core allows the product to weigh 40% less than the company’s wood-plastic composite planks for easier handling and reduced freight costs.
